misspell

It's hard to spell my name.
I often got misspelled so many times, I don't give a sh*t anymore anytime it happens.
It might not be hard to spell my name if you live in Russia,
or other East European countries.
But when you live in Indonesia, it's a nightmare.
*and this doesn't include times when I temporarily lived in Japan as an exchange student.

This conversation always happen everytime I order a flight ticket:

Me: Good afternoon. Excuse me, I would like to order a ticket to Jogja for any flight on Monday.
Operator: Ok, we got one for you. And your full name is?
Me: Svetlana Anggita.
Operator: Stefania?
Me: No. It's SVETLANA.
Operator: Oh. I see. Stefiana.
Me: No. I'm sorry. It's SVETLANA. With an S, a V...
Operator: Sorry, is it a V as in "victory" or an F as in "Finland"?
Me: *sigh*. Okayyy...I'll spell the codes for you, it's: Sierra-Victor-Echo-Tango-London-Alpha-November-Alpha. Svetlana.
Operator: Got it. A ticket on Monday for Miss SVETLANA Anggita?
Me: Ohh yesss...thank God. I mean, thank YOU.

And this conversation happens again and again, anytime I have to deal with flight tickets.
Sometimes the operator says things like: "Oh, you really have a strange name".
Or, "What does your name mean anyway?".

Puh-lease.
It's OK though. I got used to this situation anyway :D

p.s.: When I was an exchange student in Japan, my name was spelled as: Su-e-to-ra-na. That's why I prefer everyone to call me "Lana-chan". lol.
